BARROWS — A full moon shining off the custom-made lake and a father celebrating his son’s first career victory set the atmosphere around the second to last night of points racing Saturday, Aug. 21, at North Central Speedway.

Stock Car driver Tim Johnson has held the checkered flag many times at the end of a

feature race, but Saturday, Andrew Johnson came away with his first career win in the Super Stock feature event.

With the Stock Car feature going off next, Tim wasn’t able to see his son run to victory, but as the stock cars pulled onto the track, Flagman Jess Geesey summoned Tim on the driver radio to come over and celebrate with his son and the two drivers and their family all made it in the post-race celebration photo.
