BARROWS — Two feature wins for Aaron Johnson increased a points lead in the Modified class and gave him his first career win at North Central in the Stock Car division on a full night of racing Saturday, July 10, at North Central Speedway.
Johnson’s win in the Modified feature was his third win of the season. Shawn Fletcher, sent to the back of the field for bringing out a caution flag early in the race, fought back through the 10-car field to finish in second place. Fletcher trails Johnson by just seven points in the points’ race.
In the 20-lap Stock Car feature, Johnson started from the front row and took the checkered flag in front of Thomas Ahrndt and Kris Peterson.
Brandon Bombardo, Chad Funt and Greg Kohl all scored feature wins and stand on top in the points standings.
The Sport Mod feature was a family battle with Chris and David Siercks dueling for the top spot through the second half of the race. In the end, it was Chris Siercks standing on the winner’s podium with his second career win.

Tim Johnson recorded his third Super Stock win of the season. Dylan Nelson and Dustin Nelson, locked in a points race battled for second place in the feature with Dustin Nelson taking second place just in front of Dylan Nelson, increasing his points lead to seven over Dylan.
