BARROWS-Two points races tightened up Saturday and the third night of the Hobby Stock Mid-Summer Shoot-Out was completed with a 20-lap feature at North Central Speedway.
Hobby Stock driver Wes Janz was the feature winner followed by Tyler Pospisil. Drivers competed in three races over the weekend at three different tracks and 18 cars made the field for the feature.
Jerry Esler leads the Mod 4 class points standings but he saw his point margin drop to three as Dean Blanchard Jr. gained the checkered flag in the 15-lap feature with Esler coming in second.
Jake Goetze did the same thing in the Super Stock class as he finished in front of points leader Seth Kramer and cut Kramer's lead to two points.
Brendon Yamry won Sport Compacts and Troy Jordan drove to the win in the Northern Sport Modified class feature.
Billy Kendall nailed down his third win of the season in the Modified class.
Just four nights of racing remain before the season-ending Mighty Axe Nationals Labor Day weekend.
