Brainerd's Zach Henke finished third in the 110- and 400-meter hurdle races in the 17-18-year-old division of the AAU Region 14 National Qualifier June 28-July 1 at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.
The finishes qualified Henke for the 52nd annual AAU Junior Olympic Games July 28-Aug. 4 at Drake University in Des Moines Iowa.
Henke was clocked at 14.91 seconds in the 110 hurdles and at 56.21 in the 400s. Both times were personal records.
The regional qualifier included athletes from Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa.
