Pequot Lakes and Pillager teams have qualified for the Minnesota State High School League State Tournament Saturday, June 25, at the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake.
Pequot will compete in Class 4A and Pillager in Class 1A.
Class 6A qualifying teams will be announced following conclusion of the Class 6A Championships Monday, June 20, at the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League State Trapshoot, Class 7A will be determined Tuesday, June 21, and Class 8A Wednesday, June 22.
Several lakes area individuals made the all-state team which recognizes those students with the top 100 league averages. These athletes are qualified for the MSHSL State Tournament. They include:
Katie Benson of Staples-Motley with an average of 24.2. She was No. 1 female in Class 4A.

Other all-state team members include Jace Hoemberg (23.8), Dominick Carlson (23.6), Travis Maciej (23.6) and Brenden Thompson (23.2), all of Staples-Motley; Brady Adams of Wadena-Deer Creek (23.3); Andrew Muesing of Brainerd (23.3); Nathan Poster of Pierz (23.2); and Jake Johnson of Crosslake Community School (23.2).

8 a.m., Team check-in
8:30 a.m., Opening ceremony
9 a.m., Team competition begins
Noon-2 p.m., Individual competition check-In
3 p.m., Individual competition begins
5:30 p.m. (approximate), Awards ceremony
