McCale Peterson pitched a complete game and went 2-for-3 with a double as the Brainerd 16-year-old team defeated St. Cloud Blue 3-1 in the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday.
Peterson allowed four hits and one earned run, struck out nine and walked two.
Max Boran doubled and finished 3-for-3 and Hunter Wicklund added two hits.
In Game Two, Boran doubled in a 2-1 Brainerd victory. Tristan Richardt got the win allowing two hits, no runs and no walks in four innings pitched.
Brainerd is 12-3 and has won four straight games.

Martin leads 15-year-old team
Eric Martin pitched a complete game, doubled and drove in two runs as the Brainerd 15-year-old team beat Sartell 5-3 Wednesday.
Martin yielded five hits and one earned run with four strikeouts and one walk. Evan Storbakken and Josh Hukriede also doubled for Brainerd.
