MAPLE LAKE -Carter Brau pitched a two-inning no hitter and Ethan Sannes tossed a complete-game shutout to lead Brainerd to a 12-0, 11-0 sweep of Maple Lake Wednesday.
Brau's quick no-hitter happened in Game Two as Brainerd tallied five runs in the first and six in the second. Konnor Wicklund was 2-3 with a run and an RBI. Max Kappes and Kaleb Sundquist both drove in two runs and Michael Laber and Brau each scored two runs.
In the opener, Sannes struck out three, walked three and scattered three hits over five innings.
Colby Watland finished 2-2 with three RBIs, three runs and a double. Mason Argir drove in two runs and Gunnar Wicklund went 1-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Jake Miller finished 2-3 with two runs and an RBI.
