VFW Baseball: Brainerd sweeps St. Cloud West

Brainerd won Game One of the doubleheader 7-3.

In the nightcap, Brainerd scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the victory.

Zack Winger walked four times and scored twice and Logan Madsen drove in two runs for Brainerd.

Daniel Schoonover pitched the final two innings of relief to get the win. He allowed one hit and struck out one.

Michael Jensen was 1-2 with a double, a walk and hit by a pitch in the opener. He scored one run, while Jordan Jarmuzek and Cody Townsend each scored twice.

Logan Madsen, Tory Miller, Matt Casperson and Jacob Russell each drove in a run for Brainerd.

Miller pitched six innings. He allowed two runs on four hits and two walks, while striking out eight.
