McCale Peterson struck out 12, allowed one hit and collected three hits as the Brainerd 16-year-old team blanked Pequot Lakes 6-0 Friday.
Peterson went all seven innings and walked one. At bat, he finished 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Colin Kleffman was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. David Benson and Max Boran each had two hits including doubles and Boran drove in two runs.
St. Cloud Red 11, Pierz 4
Jesse Marshik collected three hits and two stolen bases and scored two runs as the Pierz VFW team lost to St. Cloud Red 11-4 Thursday.

Tuesday, Pierz nipped Buffalo 2-1 with winning pitcher Ben Herold going seven innings with three strikeouts and two walks. He allowed six hits and no earned runs. Brandon Dickman had two of Pierz's four hits.
Monday, Sartell edged Pierz 5-4 despite 13 strikeouts by losing pitcher Preston Rocheleau. He allowed six hits and one earned run with one walk. Rocheleau also had two hits and Herold scored twice.
