PIERZ-Maverick Kowalczyk finished 2-3 with a triple and three RBIs to lift the Pierz Pioneers to an 8-1 victory over St. Cloud Cathedral Monday.
Peter Schommer pitched six innings and allowed one run on five hits and one walk. He struck out six. Schommer also went 1-2 with a run and a double.
Michael Leidenfrost went 2-2 with a double, two RBIs and two runs. Cody Kimman finished 1-2 with two RBIs and a run scored and Preston Veith drove in a run.
