Volleyball: Warriors finish 2-2

SAUK RAPIDS -- Avery Eckman pounded 35 kills for the Brainerd Warriors who went 2-2 at the Sauk Rapids Tournament Saturday, Sept. 7.

The Warriors defeated St. Cloud Cathedral 2-1 and Holdingford 2-0. They lost 2-0 to Watertown-Mayer and 2-1 to Wadena-Deer Creek.

Abbi Bohlen put up 35 set assists for Brainerd and Karli Anderson recorded 12 blocks. Gracie Rivard collected 31 digs and served six aces.

Little Falls went 0-3 at the tournament as they lost to St. Cloud Cathedral, Holdingford and Monticello.

Kerstin Knopik led the Flyers with 23 kills and 13 blocks. Taylor Jordan posted 41 set assists and Sami Tembreull turned in a team-high 23 digs.
