FARMINGTON - Maddy Stall made the all-tournament team and the Brainerd Warriors finished 10th Saturday at the Farmington Tournament.
Stall collected 62 digs in the Warriors' four matches in the 16-team tournament.
"Maddy's so automatic on defense," Warriors coach Jared Diem said. "Because she's not hitting the ball and she's not in the front row - liberos in general often are overlooked and underappreciated. Every kill, every set starts with her passing and defense. She had another solid tournament. She's just solid night after night."
Brainerd lost 2-0 to Mahtomedi and defeated BOLD and Red Wing by 2-0 scores before losing to Winona in three games in the ninth-place match.
Tedi Ramberg accumulated 20 kills, Heather Fletcher 15, Katy Johnson and Jenna Degen 11 apiece and McKenzie Peterson 10 for the Warriors.

"It was very a tough tournament," Diem said. "Teams like Osseo and Rosemount have multiple players going Division I. We were very happy with 2-2. We could have gone 3-1. If you look at the scores in our last match, they were close.
"This weekend our bench - with Mercedes Stavig, Chels Gould, Kellie Fletcher and Hannah Chisholm - they don't play as much as others but they're ready to go in at any time. They're constantly cheering and when they do come in they make a big impact, especially Mercedes in this tournament."
