ST. CLOUD - Kellie Fletcher and Nicole Borg pounded nine kills apiece for the Brainerd Warriors who defeated the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles 3-1 for their first Central Lakes Conference win Thursday.
Madison Stall scooped 35 digs and Cara Helgeson contributed 14 set assists for Brainerd, which is 1-3 in the conference and 4-8 overall.
"Kellie and Nicole were pretty much 58-for-59 and made only one mistake," said Brainerd coach Jared Diem. "We were down 24-22 in the fourth game and Nicole served really well at the end. She served a couple of aces including one for the win on the final point."
