I'm fresh off a trip to the Dominican Republic where a group of us (including my wife Shelley) visited the Ascension Village and neighboring communities. The trip was rewarding and it was nice to see the friends we met last March and also meet some new ones.
Chickens, dogs, cows, horses, happy faces, sad faces, moto's, wild driving, school, church, snotty noses, stinky exhaust, garbage everywhere, dirty river, beautiful hillsides and overall scenery, winding roads, up all night, the ocean, caring people, tiny block houses, cock fights, people watching the world go by, no papers, Haitians, T.E.A.L., schools, buckets on heads, machetes, mangos, almonds, fish, feces of all kinds, spearfishing, Santiago, Sosua, Ascension, Porta Plata, prostitution, Caraballo, needs, wants, babies, Facebook, Presidente, people everywhere, baseball, language barrier, prayer.
And now back to reality! It's the last day before the bullets start flying and I am going to go on stand! Good luck to all of you hunters hitting the woods, fields or water this weekend. Be safe and be thankful, because if you saw what we just saw you would really know how good we got it. Wow, it's a big world. And now here I am looking for a big buck ... yeah, pretty petty. Let me know if you want more info on how you can help.
