Hello, how are you doing? I hope you're good and I hope you are out enjoying this unseasonable weather.
It looks like about a week of warmth before we drop back down into winter again. Who the heck knows from day to day these days. This world is really keeping us on our toes!
Let's call them current events. Those worldly current events are going to unfold just as they are supposed to, so I'm not going to get too bent out of shape over them.
How about those local, current events? The Nisswa Jubilee is shaking down this weekend, the Fishing For Ducks event is happening over in the Garrison Bay on Mille Lacs ... big bucks raised for ducks! Next weekend is the Frozen Fore and the Frozen Flop, keep that in mind if you want to sharpen up your golf skills before the real thing starts happening on the green ground.
I'm thinking crappies, I'm thinking golf, I'm thinking turkeys, Lake Winnipeg walleyes, walleyes and sturgeon on the Rainy River, hockey, deer (I'm always thinking deer).

Dear, I think about you a lot too. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, yes, all the time. Now let's talk about me! Haha, just kidding.
Now that I got you back to reading after a little scare there, what do you want to talk about? OK, sure, we'll talk about our beautiful little area that we call the BLA (Brainerd lakes area). I had a little meeting the other morning with Mark Pietig, a local realtor who is helping me with our Lil' Fry Fishing Tournament. He was talking about what he has been seeing in the local market.
It sure made sense to me that people are making the move to our beautiful area and then doing the reverse commute-heading down to the cities or elsewhere a couple or few days a week. This should equate into more business for us local business owners and yes more everything. We know that we have a special place here and with the way technology is advancing, why wouldn't every Tom, Dick, Harry, Larry and Mary want to be where the beauty is? Are you ready for a record year? Let's do it.
Have a crappie weekend,
Walleyedan
