Low- to mid-30s for highs. That's not going to make the kind of ice that we would like for fishing and other winter activities. So, what shall we do about that? Not sure. Mount Ski Gull can make snow, it's pretty hard for us to make ice!
How about head on down to the Ice Fishing Show in St. Paul next weekend, that will at least get you excited about the upcoming ice fishing season ... I think. I'll be at the Sno Bear booth and will also spend some time talking Vexilar. But if you would rather be outside, there are a lot of things a person can do right now-all kinds of things! Get the boat out, go pheasant hunting, put some more Christmas lights up, buy a muzzleloader and do a little deer hunting, cut and split wood, go grouse hunting or duck hunting. Yeah, I know you know there are a lot of things to do here in our little Brainerd lakes area and this fine state of Minnesota (and maybe SD) so I won't put any more ideas in your head.
I finally put a small dent in our fallen tree population, now it's time to rent a splitter one of these days.
I hope Thanksgiving was a good one for you; I hope it was good for me, too! I'm actually writing this to you on Wednesday before we head out to grandmother Barb's house! Actually brother-in-law Chris is putting on the feast again this year and I am pretty certain it will be phenomenal! Lots to be thankful for in these crazy times, despite what WCCO has to show us every night! I'll stop there because my mind just started to head out into a different direction, and that wouldn't be good.
Good bye, Walleyedan
