With the colder cloudy days we have been having, your favorite spot might not be going quite yet. Don't let that stop you from your first fresh fish fry since hard water.

The fish want to be there, but chances are they are holding in the deeper water not far away. You can try trolling with a small jig and spinner or lately one of the newest techniques anglers are using is trolling small crank baits under a planer board to cover water quicker. This lets you cover a ton of water very effectively. Then once you find them, you can sit over the fish with your favorite lure or bait. Good luck and see you on the water.
