Women's Basketball: Raiders record first victory

FERGUS FALLS - Bethany Cressman scored 17 points for Central Lakes as the Raiders recorded their first win of the season by beating Minnesota State Fergus Falls 77-69 in a non-division game Tuesday.

FERGUS FALLS - Bethany Cressman scored 17 points for Central Lakes as the Raiders recorded their first win of the season by beating Minnesota State Fergus Falls 77-69 in a non-division game Tuesday.

Kiana Edwards added 15 points and four assists and Kelly Pearson also scored 15 for the Raiders.

Alyshia Angeleno tallied 12 points and Jenny Skoog followed with 10 points and six rebounds for CLC.

Teresa Moenkedick, a Verndale High School graduate, scored 11 points for Fergus Falls.

Raiders head coach Cassie Carey attained her first career.

"It was really nice for the girls to get the first win of the season especially after not having a team last season," she said. "They're all freshmen and getting the first win for the program is awesome and we're looking forward to playing again."
