Women's College Basketball: Raiders fall short after slow start

Liz Anderson finished with 22 points to lead a second-half rally that fell short as the Central Lakes College Raiders lost to Minnesota West 72-65 in a non-division game Friday, Dec. 7.

Maggie Fellerman finished with 15 points off the bench and Kelsie Weite led the team with eight rebounds.

The Raiders started slow, scoring just 10 points in the first quarter and eight in the second quarter to trail 35-18 at the half.

After shooting 23 percent in the first quarter, CLC's percentage dropped to 12 in the second quarter.

The Blue Jays outscored the Raiders by a 28-18 margin for the game in the paint.

CLC showed life in the second half as it outscored Minnesota West 47-37. The Blue Jays built their lead to 23 early in the second half before the Raiders closed the gap to four points, but couldn't get any closer as fell to 3-3 overall.
