Paige Wallevand scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Central Lakes in a 54-41 win over Mesabi in a Northern Division game Saturday, Jan 11, in Brainerd.
Lillee Hardee added nine points and nine rebounds as the Raiders snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 2-1 in division play.
Trailing 5-4 early in the first quarter, Hardee and Kali Mammenga each hit buckets from behind the 3-point arc to take a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
CLC outscored the Lady Norse 15-6 in the second quarter to lead 29-13 at the half. A layup from Haley Youngbauer built the lead to 20-8. Youngbauer finished the game with six points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Hardee hit two more 3-pointers in the third quarter and Central Lakes built the lead to 41-17.
