Bemidji State University forward Allyson Smith has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week ending Sunday, Sept. 23.

This marks the first weekly individual award in the sophomore's career and the third straight week the Beavers have had an individual recognized by the league.

The Brainerd High School graduate led the Beavers to a 2-0-0 weekend of NSIC play netting three of the Beavers' seven goals. She recorded the second multi-goal match of her season in a 5-1 victory over Upper Iowa University Friday, Sept. 21, before getting the Beavers on the board in a 2-0 win at Winona State University Sunday, Sept. 23. She kicked in the deciding goal in each match and leads the team with three game-winning goals.

In all, she played 112 of 180 minutes last week while logging eight shots and five shots on goal.

The sophomore is fifth in the league in points (12) and goals (5) and leads the NSIC in game-winners (3).
