ST. PAUL - Brainerd High School graduate Mikinzee Salo of St. Catherine University received All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors in singles and doubles for the second straight year.
Salo and Kylie Ketcho were again a significant part of the Wildcats' success especially at No. 1 doubles. The pair went undefeated in conference play and finished with a 15-3 overall mark with two of those losses against regionally ranked opponents.
The duo ended the season ranked No. 10 in the region for doubles. In addition, Salo is now No. 5 all-time at St. Kate's with a 47-8 career doubles record. This is the second time in three years that Salo has finished with a flawless MIAC doubles record.
In singles, Salo moved up to No. 6 all-time for career singles wins at 39-16. Playing at No. 2 and 3 singles in 2015 the junior went 6-4 in MIAC matches but led the team overall at 12-6.
St. Catherine's secured its third-straight top-five finish in the conference and played in the postseason for the fifth-straight year in 2015.
