BROOKINGS, S.D.-Vanessa Lane of South Dakota State University finished third overall in the women's pentathlon Friday at the Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Lane, a Pequot Lakes graduate, accumulated 3,730 points. She won the shot put (42-1.50), finished third in long jump (18-1), fourth in the 800 run (2:20.23), seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (9.25) and ninth in high jump (4-11.50).
Her finish earned her All-Summit League honors.
