Class 2A's ninth-ranked Detroit Lakes Lakers defeated Brainerd 36-31 in the first match and Class 1A's top-ranked Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville Thunder followed with a 46-22 win over the Warriors in the second match.
Also going 2-0 for Brainerd were Braden Kramer with a pair of major decisions and Brad Patnode with two decisions.
