Kyle Eschenbacher and Tucker Peterson both pinned their opponents for the Brainerd Warriors who defeated the Alexandria Cardinals 51-21 in their first dual meet of the season Thursday, Dec. 6, in a Central Lakes Conference matchup.
Kyle Patnode and Caleb Kramer won their matches by technical fall while Denny Busbey and Forest Gibson posted major decisions. Isaiah Jillson won by decision and Brainerd won by forfeit at three weights.
In the junior varsity meet, Brainerd beat Alexandria 24-3 as Beau Kubesh won two matches at 120 pounds-one by fall, the other by technical fall. Gabe Wagner, Ben Boberg, Josh Turner and Mitchel Pontius won by pin and John Nelson by decision.
