ELK RIVER-Brainerd's Andy Schlosser won two matches Saturday at the Champlin Park Dual Meet Invitational to become the all-time wins leader in the history of the Warrior wrestling program.
The victories gave Schlosser 148 career wins, surpassing by two the record set by 2-time state champion Andy Pickar. Schlosser wrestled two matches at 145 Saturday and one at 152.
"Andy's a tough kid," Warriors co-head coach Mikky White said of Schlosser. "He's wrestled a long time. He's got a lot of wins and scored a lot of points for us. It's a really deserving record for him. He's worked really hard. He's a good kid to get (the record)."
Cole Kubesh won all three of his matches Saturday and Brainerd finished second in the tournament.
