Wrestling: Wagner wins, Warriors 4th

MOUND — Brainerd’s Gabe Wagner won the 145-pound title and the Warriors finished fourth out of 11 teams at the Mound Westonka Leopold Haglund Invite Friday, Feb. 7.

Wagner recorded a 42-second pin in his first match, won a 14-2 major decision in the semifinals and pinned his title-round opponent in 58 seconds. He is 32-7 for the season.

Atlie Danielson, Forrest Gibson and Cade Barrett all finished second. Jadon Petrie lost his first-round match and won his next three to claim the 160-pound consolation championship.
