The Brainerd Warriors wrestling team honored Cade Barrett with the Most Valuable Wrestler award at its season-ending banquet.
Atlie Danielson hauled in the Corey Borg Award. Cole Larkin was named the Most Improved Varsity wrestler and Gabe Wagner was named the Hardest Worker.
Wagner and Danielson tied for the season-high in wins with 36. Wagner posted the most pins with 18. Danielson led th team in takedowns with 67 and team points with 192.5.
Wagner, Kyle Eschenbacher and Forrest Gibson were named captains for next year. This season’s captains were Eschenbacher, Danielson, Gibson and Barrett.
Ben Boberg was the big winner on the junior varsity side. Boberg was named the Most Improved Junior Varsity wrestler and collected the most wins 17, most pins 13 and most takedowns 23. Gus Wagner was named the Hardest Worker for the JV.

The most wins in a season in Warrior history belongs to Andy Schlosser (2014-15) and Kyle Patnode (2018-19) with 42 each. The Most pins in a season belongs to Mike Maske (1994-95), Trevor McCulloch (1999-2000) and Cade Barrett (2018-19) with 23 each. Kyle Dukowitz holds the record for most takedowns in a season with 156, which he did in the 1995-96 season. Schlosser also owns the most team points eaned in a season with 211 in 2014-15.
The fastest pin in Warrior history belongs to Brock Larson who scored a five-second pin in the 1995-96 season.
Earning All-Central Lakes Conference honors this season were Isaiah Germann, Isaiah Jillson, Kyle Eschenbacher, Atlie Danielson, Gabe Wagner and Forrest Gibson.
All-conference honorable mention went to Elijah Germann, Blake Wgeishofski, Damien Bentho, Cade Barrett and Cole Larkin.
