The Xolos FC MN 19-and-under girls soccer team won the Bemidji Groundhog tournament May 1.
The team finished 3-0 with wins over Bemidji Extreme 1, Bemidji Extreme 2 and East Grand Forks Wave.
The team placed second May 14-15 in the Shakopee Cup. They defeated BV United, Bemidji Extreme and Southern MN Select before falling to Shakopee in the
championship game.
The team is Kylee James (Alexandria), Alexa Eggebraaten (Alexandria), Ellen Panther (Alexandria) Kenny Martinson (Grand Rapids), Abbey Birkey (Grand Rapids), Taylor Birkey (Grand Rapids), Emma Balsley (Brainerd), Molly Hagelie (Brainerd), Eva Oium (Brainerd), Avery LeMieur (Brainerd), Peyton LeMieur (Brainerd, Gabrielle Eckman (Brainerd), Cally Robertson (Brainerd), Paige Yeager (Brainerd), Gabby Wentzel (Brainerd), Kendal Swantek (Little Falls), Ana Steadman (Little Falls) and coach Jonah Trout.
