The Baxter 12U AAA team won the Cal Ripken 12-Year-Old/Major 70 Minnesota State Tournament held July 14-15 at Oscar Kristofferson Park in Baxter.
The team went 3-1, losing its first game to Waite Park 13-4. It then beat Park Rapids 7-1, Moorhead 11-3 and Bemidji 8-4 in the Championship game.
Baxter advances to the Cal Ripken World Series held in August in Branson, Missouri. A Facebook page has been started to track the team's progress. Search Baxter Baseball 12U World Series on Facebook.
