Jack's House recently honored two of the youth bowlers in its Saturday morning youth leagues.

In the Saturday morning Majors League, Cole Stevens qualified from house level, through district level to the Minnesota Singles Tournament State Championships on Jan. 11.

In the state championships at AMF Southtown Lanes in Bloomington, Stevens bowled in the 126-145 Division with games of 156, 182 and 177. With a 186 handicap, his total score was 701, which earned him the state title. He earned a $275 scholarship for his achievement.

In the Saturday morning Preps League, first-year bowler Anna Carper qualified from house level through district level to the Minnesota singles tournament.

At state, Carper bowled in the 65 & under division with games of 102, 95 and 122. With a 367 handicap, her total score was 686, which earned her third place.

Carper earned a $175 scholarship for her effort.

The state singles tournament is a youth scholarship event that is bowled from October to January each year.
