A sailboat sits on the receding lake ice with its hull visible while white caps form on open water in the background. A resident, who lives on the southeastern shore of Gull Lake near the Love Lake channel, reported seeing the hull of a 18-20 foot sailboat in the remaining lake ice that accumulated Thursday, April 25. The origin of the boat is still undetermined but high winds raked central Minnesota on Thursday causing the lake to be almost ice free. Steve Kohls / Brainerd Dispatch
