A sign on a newly installed door in the basement of the former First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd -- home to the homeless families nonprofit New Pathways -- states bathrooms are not available and directs the organization to use the bathrooms at the Holiday Stationstore three blocks away. With Randy Fearing cutting and Matt Boyd on the skid loader applying pressure, crews from Mike’s Tree Co. moved up 10th Avenue Northeast cutting marked trees. The city is planning on installing sidewalks along the street. Twenty trees are being removed as part of the Garfield Safe Routes to School project. The inscription, over 2 feet wide, reads:
