Les Laidlaw of Mankato raises his hand to choose a Ford over a GMC truck after winning the 27th annual Brainerd Jaycees $150,000 Ice Fishing Extravaganza Saturday on Gull Lake. The men asserted their purported rights on the 1855 Treaty with the federal government to fish and hunt off reservations.
