DEERWOOD — An electronics recycling drive is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 14 to benefit continuing education for area youth through the Deerwood Technologies Scholarship Fund.
Nisswa is proposing to move household recycling and garbage drop-off from its downtown location to a more remote location at the city-owned gravel pit property off Lower Roy Lake Road.
Proactive efforts by the county, local businesses and local waste haulers were effective by capturing recyclable materials and keeping them out of the landfill, according to county officials.
