The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation attracts and administers charitable funds for the benefit of the local Brainerd area. Since 1998, the foundation has grown to over $16.7 million in assets and awarded over $8.1 million in grants to nonprofits.
The Friends is a nonprofit group that provides advocacy and resources to enhance the services, programs and materials available at the Brainerd Library.

This year’s theme was “What does it mean to love your country?”
S & R Quisberg awarded $3,000 in scholarships to employees or children of employees from their company.
The club offered each graduate a $1,500 scholarship.
