CROOKSTON, Minn. — A priest with the Catholic Diocese of Crookston who in the past spent time on administrative leave following allegations of wrongdoing is again on administrative leave. Bishop Michael Hoeppner of the Diocese of Crookston said in a written statement dated Feb. 23 that the Rev. Pat Sullivan was placed on administrative leave after a report was made involving Sullivan and "a boundary issue."
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – Authorities have shared more details of the Sunday afternoon abduction of a 34-year-old Fergus Falls mother who was later brought to safety. In addition, court papers reveal the suspected kidnapper, 39-year-old Anthony Randklev, was convicted in a 2007 case in which a woman said Randklev raped her after hinting he might kill and dismember her using a saw.
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. — Court documents have revealed more details about a shooting at a downtown Fergus Falls apartment on Nov. 21 that left two people wounded. Three people — Derek Joel Koch, 35, and Shaylee Bree McCulloch, 20, both of Dalton, and Hailey Rose Johnson, 20, of Erhard — have been arrested in the case. They are each charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. According to court documents:
VINING, Minn. -- A 16-year-old boy was killed after the car he was driving was hit by a semi in Otter Tail County Thursday, April 13. The crash happened about 6 a.m. on Highway 210 at milepost 56 near Vining when a semi pulling a trailer heading west crossed over the centerline and struck a car that traveling east, according to a state patrol report.
MOORHEAD, Minn — A Moorhead man is charged in Clay County District Court with mistreating animals after admitting to Moorhead police he was fearful of cats and may have killed three of them while he was blacked out. Jalan Isaac Greer, 23, faces three counts of mistreating or torturing animals. According to a court complaint containing the charges: Moorhead police were called to Greer's south Moorhead apartment on Jan. 19 on a report that a cat could be heard crying and making sounds like it "was fighting for its life."
MOORHEAD—A Dilworth woman is accused in Clay County District Court of being part of a scheme that defrauded people around the world out of hundreds of thousands of dollars and led in one case to a victim committing suicide. According to court documents: In spring 2016, Hunter Rawson, a detective with the Dilworth Police Department, began investigating several fraud cases tied to a suspect identified in court documents as Barbara Ann Mulari, 55, of Dilworth.
FARGO — A St. Paul man was sentenced to a year behind bars after pleading guilty on Monday, Jan. 30, to a charge of facilitating prostitution. Eric Donte Watson, 30, was charged in Cass County District Court last summer. Court documents state that Fargo police were called to a south Fargo address in January 2016 and met with an 18-year-old woman in the parking lot of a nearby grocery store. The woman told police she had been taken to Fargo from Rochester by Watson, with whom she said she was having a consensual sexual relationship.
