Each spring, Skywarn classes across the region allow the National Weather Service meteorologists to interact with and train weather spotters.
The weather service notes Skywarn spotters play an important role in the nation’s warning process for severe weather and are part of keeping communities safe. This year, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the free classes will be offered online.
The National Weather Service in Duluth is hosting six online Skywarn Spotter Training classes. Those interested may register online at https://bit.ly/2yPJZb5 .

2 p.m. Thursday, April 16,
6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16,
6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21,
Noon, April 22, and
6:30 p.m. April 23.
